Registration.
I know this is a pain for many, but there is a point to it.
In September I consulted via email with some visitors to this site with reference to its future. For those who responded, both negatively and positively, I am truely grateful. Some sound opinions and advice, lots to take on board.
Anyway, to cut to the chase: registration is now required to view the ratings, it is currently free, and I do hope to keep it that way.
I want to draw your attention to the situation as it stands: that is, I am looking for support for the future of this site. I am currently working on extra data that will be available by subscription only, I hope to be ready by the end of this month (Nov, 2010) at the latest. In the mean time I have to ask whether or not there is sufficient interest in this.
So....
Upon successful registration, you will be logged in and all is as before, but I would ask that if you find this site useful and want to see it continue, to make a donation at least (any monies donated will be deductable from future subscriptions).
Why registration? Well, firstly this has forced you to come here to read this announcement; secondly, it's the best way to know exactly how many visitors the site actually gets. In any event, I would hope that sufficient numbers show their support and make a donation. My aim is to build the site up, with extra features and resources, with three levels of subscription: free (limited use), week-end use, full-time use.
